Living Room
Inside, the house is warm and cosy, with sea views from every room. The spacious living/dining room has recently been refurbished. The back wall of the house was removed and large sliding glass doors were installed to maximise the dramatic views, opening onto a beautiful deck The old walled garden below feels like the bow of a ship, with the sea stretching away into the distance. From here, you can witness all kinds of marine activity – including the ferries in the distance sailing into Rothesay harbour, the paddle-steamer Waverley in the summer months, fishing boats, sailing boats, kayaks, and even the occasional submarine. We have seen seals, porpoises and a basking shark in this ever-changing scenery. On a stormy night, the waves can crash against the garden wall, giving you the feeling of setting sail across the high seas in your clipper.
Master Bedroom
We have a double bedroom with a king-size bed, and a good-sized family room, comprising a double bed and 2 bunk-beds. The house can therefore sleep 6, if 4 family-members are sharing the family room and children are included in the party. The cottage isn’t really suitable for 6 adults.
Family Room
Each bedroom has lovely views, up or down the shore. You will hear the sea all the time when you are in the cottage, either gently lapping on the beach below, or crashing on the rocks in stormier weather.
Kitchen
The kitchen is modern and well equipped with an electric hob and gas oven, a fridge, dishwasher and microwave. There is a washing machine situated under the cottage, and gas central heating. There is a shower room, and towels and bedding are provided.
